The Eclipse ‘er. 🕶️

As I waited for my virtual haircut at E-Clips, it dawned on me that this coming Monday, after smacking around the miniature spheres in room 7 (our seventh heaven), the heavens above will shortly thereafter reveal its own spherical miracle. Throngs of space invaders are set to crowd into the swath of this Dark Invader which will streak northeast at about 1500 mph. In its path, the Hoosier State. With this impending veil, Governor Wholecorn has preemptively issued a State of Emergency. Will this cast shade on this shroud pleaser?  Will a lack of moonshine cause hysteria? Is this Y2K24? Woodstock? You can’t overshadow this spectacle. The spectacle bearing crowd will survive.

One of these totality trekkers, is our fellow Lombattant Peter. It’s deja-view for this eclipse chaser, as he was on hand for the 2017 blackout. He does face an ‘umbra conundrum’ in terms of how the clouds and the crowds will cooperate, especially on the roads. The sun may turn out to be equally as incognito as the viewers intend to be, Muncie, right in the path may become None-see. Some, may make last minute decisions, possibly like the ‘Eclipser’.

The ‘Eclipser’ you ask?  That’s just another nickname I tossed out there. Many have viewed multiple eclipses, but who has also executed a table tennis shot worthy of such a title? You see, only a paddle peeked out behind the shadow of Dan in our doubles match. A ball miraculously rocketed off that paddle and whizzed past me to produce the winning match point. The totally obscured player wielding that bat…Peter, the Eclipser.

I’ll be here enjoying the predicted 90% coverage. Hopefully it’s different from the ‘perma-clipse’ we’ve had the first week of April.
